The Latest FFF Newsletter is Here!

First of all we’d like to say…

Merry Christmas, Chag Urim Sameach, Happy Holidays!

Ketogenic Diet

So here it is, at long last…our second Newsletter of 2017! (which is our second newsletter…of ever ?)

For all the new members that have have subscribed since Newsletter #1 back in June, you can find that one here and please feel free to forward it on to any friends, family and colleagues that you think might find it interesting or helpful. Really, the more reach we can get over these next couple of months the better and all and any help is greatly appreciated ?

The plan was to have our products out in the wild by now but due to several unforeseen circumstances (“starting a business is easy” …said no one ever!) this has not been possible and now we’re all hanging on for a launch in the new year. I’m hoping sometime in January but because of the holidays I think this is more likely to be February.

If you are one of the newer members, then a huge THANK YOU ❤️ for subscribing and if you’re one of the original members then thanks for hanging tight. You are all going to receive some amazing and unique offers once we have products in the warehouse ready to ship. Keep an eye on our social media pages for details: Insta – FB – Twitter  ?

If you haven’t been checking the blog here’s a couple of our most popular posts of the last few months

What’s been up with the FFF Crew the last few months?

Taste. Tweak. Ride. Repeat

A summer of tasting and mixing lots of different products, like baobab powder, vanilla bean powder, goji powder, blueberry, spinach, hemp protein, pea protein, different organic whey proteins and plenty more and getting our mixes down. It’s hard to balance taste, results and the macros, vitamins and minerals we were after but we finally got there. The trick was to do a full week on one particular mix and hit the mountain hard during the mornings…fasted mountain bike rides, fasted half marathon trail runs, swinging kettlebells around and noting down recovery times, energy levels, recording trail run times etc on a monster spreadsheet. But we got the results we wanted in the end. And the macros are pretty much spot on to what we were originally after which is great! Both products are roughly 17g protein, 2g of fat and 1g net carbs per serving – as well as having a variety of different micronutrients. Both powders are 100% organic and 100% natural with no additives, refined sugars or artificial sweeteners of any kind ??

We’re already planning our next products and hope to have more info in the next newsletter…so watch this space ?

A slow boat from China

Our protein powders are being made and packaged in The Netherlands ?? as we wanted to source high quality products and work with a partner that wasn’t on the other side of the world. But for our Shaker Bottles we looked further afield…yep, you guessed it…China! ?? They are currently on a container ship heading to the port of Marseille and we’re hoping they’re going to arrive any day.

The shaker bottle in the photo above (btw, that’s a rather splendid mix of Four Sigmatic Mushroom Coffee with Lion’s Mane & Chaga with Coconut Oil) is actually the only one that we’ve managed to get our hands on but fear not, when the bulk order arrives we’ll be doing plenty of giveaways so make sure to keep your eye on our Instagram feed ?

Food: Coconut & Sesame Keto Bread

Anyone that’s trying to kick the processed carbs to the curb, minimise their grain consumption or get their body in optimum flow state by getting it into ketosis knows that it can be hard work.

This gluten free, keto bread recipe will help. There is roughly 10g fat, 3g protein and 1.5g net carbs per slice. I sometimes eat a couple of slices with grilled cheese and fried eggs for lunch and if I feel like something sweet later in the day or evening they can be smothered with butter and honey…it’s delicious! ?

You will need:

  • 75g Coconut Flour
  • 120ml Warm Water
  • 100ml Olive Oil
  • 16g Pysillium Husk
  • 6 Medium Sized Eggs
  • 10g Black Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 Tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda

What now?

  • Pre-heat your oven to 180ºC / 350ºF
  • Line the bottom of a loaf tin with baking paper and grease the sides well with olive oil
  • In a bowl add the warm water to the Pysillium Husk, mix and set aside for now
  • In another bowl mix the coconut flour, Cream of Tartar, baking soda, salt and sesame seeds
  • I then use the blender to blend together the eggs and olive oil then add in the Pysillium Husk mixture (put the blender on max speed as it’s going to get thick and heavy now)
  • Pour that into the rest of the dry ingredients and mix together well
  • Then pour/scoop the full mixture into the loaf tin
  • Bake for 40-45mins – do the skewer test to check it’s cooked through
  • Remove from the oven and allow the bread to cool before removing from the loaf tin
  • Slice and serve (see above for recipe ideas)

That’s all for now. Make sure to regularly check our social pages and if you haven’t already then please Like, Share, Follow. Every single one makes a huge difference for us.

Also, please do SHARE this newsletter with your friends, family and work colleagues. It will help us a lot. Thanks
